The other day I shared here a little about why I quit blogging while I was healing from being hurt by someone I called a friend. The reality is, she was more than a friend, she was family. We grew into adults together, we shared heart break and sorrow. We knew what the other was thinking with just a glance. We were best friends.
Today as I was trying to define grace I looked through my journal for an example of when I spoke about grace. Guess what… no journal entry about grace.
Why is it so hard to practice what we preach?
I love to support women in achieving their dreams. One of the keys that I have been taught in order to reach those dreams… Give Yourself And Others Grace.
In the past couple of years I have found it easier and easier to give grace. It takes practice. Seriously. It is like a sport, you have to practice.
I may never know how my friend feels about ending our friendship or if she is sorry that it ended. But it is time to give her grace and forgive the past hurt. It needs to be forgiven so I can move on and be at peace.
New Journal Entry for Today: I am giving grace and forgiveness…
